Chris Detrick was the agent who sold our home and facilitated the purchase of our new home through a very difficult set of circumstances. This is our second time working with the Detrick group as we purchased our first home with them too, which was a fantastic starter home. On the selling side of things, everything went smoothly and was textbook. A very VERY easy process with Chris and the Detrick groups experience and always friendly nature. We sold our home for a great price and within a day of it going up. This was our first experience selling a home and it could not have been easier. However, the true test of a professional is how they handle challenging situations, and we had our fair share on the purchasing end, from an uncooperative seller and realty group. From Chris and the Detrick teams end, they handle the situation positively and professionally. They did everything in their capacity to try and make a difficult situation more viable. Chris always went the extra mile to negotiate and explain to the other side what they needed to or should have been doing. With any other relator the situation could have been a complete loss or worse, but with Chris we manage to catch a lot of issues up front, so we knew what we were getting into with our new home. We knew some of what we were getting into since we wanted a home we could do some work on, but there were some issues that were well beyond the scope of Chris and our realty group that we managed on our end, but with an uncooperative realty group, transparency isn’t always assured. Chris is always communicative and on top of any details, that need to be handled. In addition, Chris personably helped us move boxes during our relocation process. I don’t think many relators would have the dedication to take those kinds of extra steps to help their client. When it came down to negotiating as we were one of three offers, he made suggestions that would make us more appealing while also not going overboard.
